We're a SF Bay Area based group of creative types from all backgrounds--photographers, writers, visual artists, dancers, actors/actresses, and any other category not mentioned--who want to connect with other creative people. Once a month, we plan a "creative" field trip. This can be anything from attending a symphony performance to taking a photography expedition to hiking and then stopping to sketch. The term "creative" is used pretty loosely. The idea is simply that we'll get together and have fun, when our lives and schedules permit, and that we're connecting with others who know what it's like to surf the waves of creative highs and lows, to take the risk of going freelance, who understand the balance between creativity and family. The idea is also to give people who typically create within one medium an opportunity to experience another medium.

No dues, no fees. Sign up for the mailing list, I'll send out an announcement of what we're doing and when we're doing it, and you can show up as you wish.

Any Bay Area resident who considers themselves to be creative or who would like to explore creativity and connect with others who are creatively inclined. Even if you are not a freelancer or someone who makes their bread and butter from your particular craft, you are welcome to join. We are open, welcoming, and affirming of all genders, races, ages and sexual orientations.

You should not join this group if your intention is to network or market yourself in any way, as this is not the point of our get-togethers.

I'm Kate. I'm a Life Coach, artist, writer and photographer. For years I worked full-time and pushed my creative passions to the sidelines. Then I gradually moved to part-time and now I'm moving into working full-time across these different categories of creative work.

My intention in starting this website is simple: to connect with other creative types. While I may be the one getting the ball rolling, it's my hope that this is something that will take on a life of its own, allowing people to connect with one another and form friendships outside of our creative field trips. I know the Bay Area is ripe with artsy folks and this seems like a fun way to get us in touch with one another. I hope to meet you sometime soon!
